What to Bring Clothing - Warm clothes, gloves, and a hat or cap for sun protection. For July and August a pair of shorts and short-sleeved shirt may be in order. Also, rain gear and waterproof footwear. During our season, temperatures can range from 50 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Personal Accessories - Camera with film, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, razors and personal medication. Tackle - Standard spinning or casting gear, however we recommend you use 20 to 25 pound test line when fishing for Northerns. Ultra light spinning gear is ideal for fishing Arctic Grayling, and your favourite fly rod is also a must. Lures - Spinning type lures such as Daredevils, Red Eyes, Doctor Spoons and Mepps Spinners. For Arctic Grayling select very small sizes of the above. Ten to twelve inch wire leaders for Northerns. A selection of proven lures is available at the Lodge. No live bait is allowed. Barbless hooks only. You may pinch down the barbs. Alcoholic Beverages/Cigarettes - We do not have alcoholic beverages or cigarettes in camp, but you are allowed to import into Canada 40 ounces of liquor and one carton of cigarettes per person. Insects - While we do recommend that you bring along some insect repellent, don't be surprised if you don't have to use it. You will be pleasantly surprised at the almost total lack of insects at Wilson's.
